Some favorites come and go, but not these guys. The products here are the ones I've been using for years and have no intention of stopping anytime soon.
This. Josie Maran Argan Oil is the holy grail of my holy grails. If I could only have one product, it would be this. I use it everywhere - face, hair, nails. You name it. I have super super dry skin (#eczemaproblems) and this is the only thing that keeps my face happy. It's incredibly moisturizing without being too greasy or sticky. But! The main reason this is my number one forever, is that my skin and hair FREAK if I don't have any on hand. I've been using this argan oil since 2012, and a couple of times I thought I could switch it up and try something new. NOPE. Skin gets flaky. Hair gets....not great. This oil and I are in it for life.
My face wash! I've been using this Aveeno Foaming Cleanser face wash for I don't even know how many years. It's super gentle but cleanses really, really well. If I'm wearing a lot of makeup I like to use a oil or balm cleanser first, and then follow up with this to make sure my face is super clean. Love this stuff!
I love Glossier's Mega Greens Galaxy Pack one because I actually feel like it cleans my pores without irritating my skin like other clay masks. Masks are one of my favorite skincare items in the whole world so I'm always trying new ones, but no matter what I have this on hand and use it generally once a week.
Oh look, more Glossier! What's weird about the Glossier Priming Moisturizer is that I have no idea why I love this so much, but I've used it pretty much every single day for at least three years. It's a super light moisturizer, but it adds a little something to my skin in my morning. I put it on after sunscreen and before makeup. I don't think it actually helps makeup stay on all day, but everything I use sits really well on top.
I'm not entirely sure why this is called a lip mask, but the Laniege Sleeping Lip Mask is a total must-have for me. I have really dry lips and tend to peel them when I'm stressed (so gross, I know). I use a thick layer of this stuff at night and it helps so much!
Nail polishes! Essie Minimalistic and Bikini So Teeny are the two in my collection that I can't live without. Minimalist is my perfect pinky-nude, and Bikini So Teeny is that perfect mix of fun and professional (seriously - I know others would disagree, but I have no issues wearing this at work). If Essie ever discontinued either of these shades I would be SO sad.
Blush is hard for me because I find that most don't even show up on my skin tone. But! This Tarte blush in Exposed is a good one for me. It's a pinky-dusty-mauvey color that I love year-round. Super natural and forgiving (aka if I go a little heavy-handed it's no problem), but still makes me feel like I put some time into my look when I wear it.
My perfect red lipstick! I don't wear bright/dark lip colors that often, but when I want to rock a red lip I always reach for Maybelline Red Revival. This is such a beautiful color and works really well for me. I also like that it's not matte so it's also pretty moisturizing and just shiny enough to look fresh. If I want to up the staying power a bit, I'll sometimes layer it with other red lip products I have but this one is definitely my favorite of the bunch.
I don't think I'll ever stop trying new mascaras because I'm a marketer's dream, but for now the Loreal Voluminous Lash Paradise is definitely my holy grail. It's one of the few mascaras I've tried that I can wear on its own and don't feel the need to layer with another one (although I sometimes do anyways because I can't help myself), and it doesn't flake or smudge on me at all. The only downside with this mascara is that it dries up kind of quickly, but I don't mind that much because it keeps me from wearing mascara past the recommended 3 months anyway. Win-win!
